Letter of Intent Signing Ceremony between ONESQA and QAA

Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA), Thailand and Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), United Kingdom agreed to build cooperation by signing the Letter of Intent (LoI) for the purpose of exchanging quality assurance knowledge and further strengthening our cooperation in capacity building for Thai external assessors. The LoI was signed by Ms. Khanidtha Tangwarasittichai, Acting Director of ONESQA and Mr. Douglas Blackstock, Chief Executive of QAA on the 17th July 2019 at QAA office in United Kingdom.

The LoI coverage is focused on the cooperation in the field of quality assurance and quality assessment, principally through 1) mutual understanding of each other’s approach to assuring quality in higher education 2) exchange of information and professional advice about each party’s activities and processes on quality assurance and enhancement in higher education and 3) development of staff through activities such as staff exchange, training, and observing each other’s review process.

ONESQA and QAA are going to develop the quality assurance framework for both organizations and will jointly cooperate the training program to enhance capacity for Thai external assessors and quality assurance officers in 2020.

Furthermore, ONESQA will prepare to participate in evaluation of external quality assurance agency e.g. INQAAHE, global quality assurance network and ENQA, Europe association for quality assurance with the objective of supporting ONESQA to be well-accepted in the international level and to be a leader of external quality assurance agency in Thailand.
