2019 CHEA Annual Conference and CIQG Annual Meeting

ONESQA delegation composed of Ms. Khanidtha Tangwarasittichai (Acting Director), Prof.Dr. Pruet Siribanpitak (Acting Chairman, Committee for Higher Education), RADM. Wachara Karunyavanij (Deputy Director) and staff had the pleasure to attend the 2019 CHEA Annual Conference “Accreditation: Enduring value, Emerging Expectation” and CIQG (CHEA International Quality Group) Annual Meeting: A Global Quality Forum “QA and Sustainable Trust in Higher Education” during 29 – 31 January 2019 in Washington DC, the United States.
The Conference served as a platform gathering participants from higher education institutions in the United States accredited by U.S. Department of Education or CHEA recognized accrediting organizations, higher education institutions from other countries in good standing with their national quality assurance bodies, higher education associations, and government agencies. This conference addressed issues, in particular how higher education needs to change and quality assurance adapt in order to sustaining trust and to promote enduring values in the role of the university and quality assurance and moving forward.
ONESQA was affiliated with CIQG to engage quality assurance and promote fundamental principles for higher education quality in seven principles concentrated on: 1) quality and higher education provider 2) quality and students 3) quality and society 4) quality and government 5) quality and accountability 6) quality and the role of quality assurance and accreditation bodies, and 7) quality and change. ONESQA is looking forward to further collaborative activities with CHEA and CIQG in particular on the joint accreditation.
